Dear Faithful Prayer Partners,
         Here are the prayer requests for the three units - David & Alisha Holt, Lisa Levdahl, Deron & Beth Peterson  - working with the Criollo people in Corrientes . Praise God!  

·         We Praise Him for the contacts He’s given us in Esquina, in the southwest corner of the province.

·        We are thankful for the opportunities to serve in the neighborhoods of Corrientes Capital as well as throughout the province.

Please Pray:

• For several months now, Lisa has been training children’s workers in Goya the weekend of Aug 16th they will be hosting their first evangelistic children’s day celebration.  Please pray that the event will be well attended and that the teachers will be confident in their abilities.

• Since March we have been meeting for Sunday morning services with both children and adults in the yard of a house in Barrio Jardin (Garden neighborhood).  Recently it has come to our attention that we might need to change locations.  Please pray for our work there - that the Lord would show us how to move forward. 

• Deron and Beth especially have made friends with a family in the Barrio Virgen de Dolores (Suffering Virgin Neighborhood).  As a team we have been working to deepen relationships there and are praying for the opportunity to begin studying Scripture together.  Please pray with us that we will recognize God’s intentions and find His plan for reaching these Criollo with the Gospel. 

• We have relationships with people in several parts of the city and province, especially Barrios Cremonte and Cemeterio as well as the town of Loreto .  Pray with us that we’ll be able to continue to meet with those interested in learning more about Christ.  Pray that we will be consistent in showing His love to all He brings into our lives.

• We are always looking for national partners to join with us in our church planting endeavors.  Please pray with us that God will bring others alongside us to help in the ministry – especially those gifted to work with children.

• In June, Roberto and Laura Gomez left northern Argentina on a two year medical mission assignment in Mozambique , Africa .  These are the first Criollo to answer God’s call as international missionaries.  Please pray for them as they present a special project to a number of churches the weekend of August 14-17.  Pray that they will be able to enlist people to be trained as community health workers. 

• Pray for Ana Peterson’s adoption process as we are waiting for the final interview with the judge. 

• Please pray for all of our school aged MKs (missionary kids) Samuel – 11, Elijah – 6 and Isaiah - 4.  Pray for them especially as they assimilate in both Spanish and English studies. 

• Wisdom as we choose a school for Samuel for next school year, March 2009.  

• Pray for wisdom as we open our homes to our neighbors .  Pray that we will be a blessing to them and their families and we will have balance between open house and personal family time. 

• The Peterson’s especially ask for you to join with them in praying God will direct their family in wisdom in helping Toto (13) who often times is unable to sleep at home. Praise the Lord he has made a decision for Christ, please pray for his family situation & their salvation.
